Our story
A nineteenth-century townhouse on Catharinastraat, brought back to life as a hotel for curious travellers.
Sutor is Latin for shoemaker: a nod to craftsmanship. That is exactly what we want to offer in this nineteenth-century townhouse next to the Grote Kerk. A hotel that feels like staying with friends in town, with the care of a good hotel and without the stiffness.
Colour, character and comfort
Pink dressers, gold wallpaper, green velvet chairs: we went for an interior with nerve. Underneath, it is all about comfort, with box-spring beds, rain showers and Marie-Stella-Maris toiletries.

Our story
Sutor is Latin for shoemaker: a nod to craftsmanship. Our nineteenth-century townhouse stands on Catharinastraat, right next to the Grote Kerk.
When we brought the building back to life as a small hotel in Breda, we wanted to keep its character: the old roof beams, the narrow steep stairs, the windows looking out across the rooftops. Inside, we went for an interior with nerve, with pink dressers, gold wallpaper and green velvet chairs, and for comfort where it counts: a good bed, a powerful shower and good coffee.
The Saints Sutor is a small and simple hotel.
We deliberately have no front desk, so you walk in without fuss using your digital key, but we are here when you need us, for a dinner tip, a birthday or a late arrival. It feels a little like staying with friends in town.
